1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Attendance Verification System ("AVS", "Service", "we", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service "Terms". If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
AVS is a digital attendance verification platform designed to allow organizations to track and verify attendance at meetings, educational sessions, and events using QR code–based scanning technology. The Service may include optional features such as geolocation verification and reporting tools for authorized administrators.
3. Ownership and Operation
AVS is developed, owned, and operated by DLILabs ("DLILabs", "we", "us", or "our"). AVS is provided to organizations as a standalone software platform and is not owned or controlled by any participating institution, employer, or organization using the Service.
4. Eligibility and Authorized Use
You may use AVS only if you are authorized by your organization to participate in events tracked by the Service. You agree to use the Service solely for its intended purpose and in compliance with your organization's policies.
5. User Responsibilities
- - Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- - Scan QR codes only for meetings or events you are authorized to attend
- - Refrain from sharing QR codes, credentials, or access links
- - Do not attempt to falsify, manipulate, or interfere with attendance records
- - Promptly report suspected security issues or misuse to your organization's administrator
Unauthorized use or misuse of the Service may result in suspension or termination of access.
6. Data Collection and Use
When you scan a QR code, AVS collects attendance-related data, including:
- - Date and time of attendance
- - Event or session identifier
- - Optional location data, if you grant device permission
This information is collected solely for attendance verification and reporting purposes and is shared only with authorized administrators within your organization. AVS does not sell or share user data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
7. Account Management
User accounts are provisioned and managed by your organization's designated administrator(s). Administrators may add, modify, suspend, or remove user access as needed. For account-related requests, including access changes or corrections, please contact your organization's administrator directly.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AVS AND DLILABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DATA LOSS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR INACCURATE ATTENDANCE RECORDS.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Changes will become effective upon posting. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
